To every musician out there...
To every one of you making beats on their samplers and MIDI keyboards, to all you band members strumming guitars and beating drums, to all you singers belting out your heart, mind, and soul into your lyrics, love your music. To all my friends that are aspiring rappers, coming out with punchlines for days or heartfelt rhymes, love your music. To all my homies in the hardcore punk scene, making the...

Merry Christmas Eve...
There’s two things I really want for Christmas tomorrow
The ability to give something to someone for Christmas. It sucks not having a job, and not having the money to buy my sister clothes, or movies for my dad. Next year, I’ll get my family everything they deserve.
The second thing…is for her to talk to me again. It’s been two months, and she hasn’t said a damn...
Anonymous asked: Who did and do you look up to in yfc? and why?
Anonymous asked: What do you have to say about the cliques and drama in yfc? And the leaders that show a bad example to the participants (drinking, smoking, sex, etc).
Anonymous asked: But wouldn't you want them to be active?
Anonymous asked: What do you think of inactive people in yfc?
If you had the power to raise dead musicians...
So I just came back from the Madball show, and to mellow things out on the way home, I just decided to play some R&B. At first, I was just playing The Weeknd’s first mix tape, but then I decided to take it back, and started playing Marvin Gaye. As I started belting out the words to “Let’s Get It On” to a girl in my head I will never get it on with, I thought, “I...
Day 3 - When was your first conference?
2006. Houston Conference. It was hot, the food was good, and I made friends that i don’t remember. Fortunately, I met them all again the next Conference. I remember that as the Conference where I got close to my homie Andrew. I wish that kid was still active. :(
Day 2 - Do you remember your first CC?
I don’t remember my first CC’s name. All I remember is that she was gorgeous, a lot older than me, and some old guy’s girlfriend.
My second CC, however, was this girl named Kim from Temecula. She was mad cute. Too bad she was this guy’s girlfriend. And we had the same birthday, too! Yo, Kim, if you ever read this, lemme know what’s up! Hahaha!

Day 1 - Tell us about your first camp.
Ahh, my first camp. It was right after the first week of my freshman year in high school, August 2005. I was an awkward kid who just came from a horrible 8th grade year. I was confused and lost, when it came to my religious views. I didn’t know what to believe, but I wanted to know that there was a God who actually loved me, contrary to my previous experiences.
Before the camp, I got...

The difficulty of explaining ‘why I am a Catholic’ is that there are ten...
– G.K. Chesterton (via josephmaniaci)
Great thing about being Catholic:
The concept of “church shopping” doesn’t exist, and shouldn’t. Why? Because every Catholic parish is theoretically united in teaching - they can only teach what the Catholic Church asks them to teach. So there’s no fear of some pastor teaching his personal skewed interpretation of Scripture and theology, and instead, I can rest assured and know that in some way,...
One of the most attractive things in a girl.
Intelligence.
When a girl is knowledgable about certain subjects, like music, art, philosophy, politics, religion, current events, or anything of the like, it makes them that much more attractive to me. Why? Because when you engage in deep conversation with someone who’s intellectually on your level, who is capable of, as well as, genuinely interested in the subject matter you’re...
You know you need to go to Confession when that’s the one thing you look forward to on a Saturday.
